Learning the ABCs is a several year process and it's never too early to start!   

Parents can sing the ABCs to their little one(s) and point to the letters when they are not even walking yet!  Letter recognition is Step 1 in learning the ABCs.   

Step 2 is phonetics.  This is a fun parent-child interaction.  Parents and kids can practice sounding out each letter together, using the first letter of the animal shown as a starting point.   

Step 3 involves learning how to write the letters correctly.  Kids can practice with washable markers or dry erase, wipe clean and try again.  They can practice on these as many times as needed until they've mastered the art of writing letters correctly.  There is no need to keep printing more paper, with Tot Talk. 

Parents can rotate out upper case ABCs (ABC Animals placemat) with the lowercase ABCs placemat throughout several years, as the child learns all of these elements listed in the three steps above.
